Even with a UV-resistant coating, the harmful effects of sunlight cannot be completely prevented. Therefore, it is advisable to choose a location where your print won't be exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

How to clean metal prints

Cleaning metal prints is a relatively simple task that mainly involves dusting. However, there are occasions when fingerprints or smudges require more thorough cleaning. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to properly clean your metal prints:

1. Dusting:

   • To remove dust, use a feather duster and gently run it along the top edge of the metal print.

   • Make nice strokes down from the top to ensure all dust is removed.

2. Cleaning for Fingerprints or Smudges:

   • To clean fingerprints or smudges, you will need a streak-free cleaning solution and a non-abrasive cloth.

   • Avoid using paper towels; instead, opt for a microfiber cleaning cloth.

   • Start by wiping from the middle towards the edge of the print to ensure a streak-free result.

   • This will effectively remove any fingerprints or smudges, leaving your metal print clean and pristine.

While these common household materials might work in most cases, they may require extra wiping to remove any annoying lint particles. Steel wool and other abrasive cleaning tools should never be used on metal prints as they can permanently damage the surface.

Cleaning Technique

We recommend cleaning your print after hanging or displaying it to remove any fingerprints or smudges that may have occurred during the hanging process. By following these steps, your displayed print will always be perfectly clean:

1. Lightly dip the non-abrasive cloth into the cleaning solution of your choice (water, isopropyl alcohol, or glass cleaner). Alternatively, you can use a spray bottle to lightly spray the metal print with the solution. Be cautious not to apply too much cleaning solution, as it may cause streaks.

2. Carefully use the cloth to remove dirt or fingerprints by cleaning outward from the center of the print. This method helps push any hard-to-remove dirt towards the edge, making it easier to remove.

3. If your print is hanging on a wall, ensure it remains firmly attached while cleaning.

4. If possible, clean the print before hanging or displaying it to avoid fingerprints on the edges. When moving or hanging the print, handle it with non-abrasive cloths to maintain its pristine condition. In case any smudges occur during handling, you can always take the print down, clean it, and re-hang it.

• Cured Epoxy Resin cannot withstand temperatures above 120°F or 50°C, so it is best for cold or warm items and not for hot food straight from the oven.

• Keep serving boards out of direct sunlight and avoid prolonged outdoor use.

• Store at room temperature and away from heat sources.

How to Clean Resin Serving Boards:

• Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild dish soap. Dry with a soft cloth.

• Do not use a dishwasher or immerse in water.

• For non-resined areas of a wood board, It’s a good idea to oil your charcuterie board at least once per month to keep them in good condition. Also recommend apply oil before and after using.
  Only apply oil to a clean cutting board that’s completely dry. After all, the point of oiling the board is to help seal it so it can resist moisture.

• Oil you should use: food-grade mineral oil, cutting board oil/conditioner or cutting board wax 

DON'T

• Use the dishwasher as the heat can warp the wood.

• Use abrasive scrubbers like steel wool as they can ruin the beautiful finish. Instead, use plastic scrapers, gentle dish soap, and hot water for stubborn food bits.

• Soak your board in water for a longer period of time, as it can cause warping. It is fine to rinse and wash the board.

• Use olive or vegetable oils as they can become rancid over time and give the board an unpleasant smell that may affect the food.

• Store the board in a closed space. Air flow is important to keep the board dry and prevent moisture buildup that can cause warping and breakage. Instead, consider displaying the board as kitchen decor on the counter or hang it on the wall. Another option is to store it in a well-ventilated pantry if you prefer to keep it out of sight.
