#5 Australia Trip May 2024 Jurien Bay, Western Australia

#5 Australia Trip May 2024 Jurien Bay, Western Australia

I stayed in Carnarvon, the next town south of Exmouth, located 379 km (230 miles) away. This place was just a stop to sleep, as I needed to drive eight hours the next day to reach my final destination in Western Australia. Day 10 Jurien Bay, WA I left Carnarvon around 8 am and embarked on another long drive. The weather was good, with clear blue skies. I saw a lot of roadkill kangaroos, which made me feel really sorry for them. Some were dead in the middle of the highway, so you need to watch out. While they’re not...

#4 Australia Trip May 2024 Exmouth, Western Australia

After a short 90-minute drive following the manta ray swim, I finally arrived in Exmouth, where I can swim with whale sharks! Exmouth is located 1,250 km (776 miles) north of Perth. A lot of people responded and said "Coral Bay," so I changed the plan. I'm staying in Monkey Mia for a night and heading to Coral Bay the next day. I didn't spend any time in Monkey Mia at all, but I don't regret it. Monkey Mia is popular for "feeding wild dolphins." Wild bottlenose dolphins come to the beach...

Pink lake WA Australia

#2 Australia Trip May 2024 Pink lake, Western Australia

Day 4 Drove 880 km, 550 mile I was planning to drive from Lancelin to Monkey Mia (about 750km, 467 mile), but I found a pink lake to stop at along the way. Despite the thick clouds and rain, you never know what will happen when you get there, right? Small errands in Australia aren't really short (110 km or 70 miles), but they are always worth it! As I was driving, I saw the beginning of the lake, but it looked like low tide with no water. The lake seemed grayish until I reached the parking lot. As soon...
